5 Delicious Comfort Foods Everyone Will Love in Montana

Over the last couple of weeks as I have been lamenting about the weather (or lack thereof), it seems to have arisen other things that I have to have not necessarily during the holiday season, but the colder months and winter in general.

It isn't just the snow that I would like to see a little more of.  It is those great comfort foods that we all remember growing up, that continue to give us the chance to travel back.  Again, and again.

Is This Montana's Favorite Comfort Food?

In a recent list by StarsInsider, they declared that Montana's favorite dish in the form of comfort is the chicken fried steak.

I just have one thing to say about that.  Just one.

One of the, if not, at least in this writer's opinion, the best comfort food there is.  No question about it.  But what else would make the list of favorite comfort food in Montana?  I have 4 more that might just work to help through winter.

Time To Find the Recipe Box That You Have Stashed Away

I don't mean just any recipe box.  Your prized recipe tin that your grandmother handed down to you.  Once you've retrieved it, time to dig in and check for any of these.

Good and hearty and it always needs to have bacon.

Again, bacon is the key here.  A decent hot sausage can help spice it up also.

For a different flavor and a Montana twist, and any favorite wild game meat to make this even more delectable.

Beef, turkey, chicken, wild game, no meat, with beans, without beans.  Doesn't matter, a great homemade chili will always hit the comfort spot.
