8 Famous Movie Dogs in a Supporting Role.

We all love them.  Movies of course.  Action, drama, sci-fi, romance, thriller, mystery, or whatever you prefer.  There is something that can make us love those movies a whole lot more.  Just add a dog into the mix and everyone simultaneously will sign an "ahhhhhhh".   Even those big tough guys will claim they "got something in my eye".  You know exactly what I am talking about and chances are you may have shed a tear or two watching one of the shows off this list.  I'm not judging.

Dog movies tend to end badly.  We still watch the movie knowing this.  Rest assured our favorite dog actors are treated very well.  They are famous.  They have starred in award winning films.  They help bring in those big box office numbers.  They should have Academy Awards, and a whole evening dedicated to them.  Red carpet, and all.

Lassie, Rin Tin Tin, and Strongheart are the only dogs who have been given a Hollywood Star on Hollywood Boulevard.  I'm all for these dogs having their own star, after all, they are heroes.   But there are plenty more dogs that deserve to have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.  Godzilla has his own star.  Godzilla is a fictional character.  I do believe Godzilla should be on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, but we snub King Kong?

Awards or no awards, there are some pretty amazing dogs that have made us laugh and made us cry.  Let's celebrate our favorite four legged, furry canine companions that have graced the golden screen.
