
Vandals Strike Popular Sluice Boxes State Park Near Great Falls
A popular summer recreation area near Great Falls, Montana is a little less scenic after vandals added spray paint touches to several concrete barriers and rock walls in the Sluice Boxes State Park.
The Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks are now asking for information that may lead to the individual(s) that might be responsible for defacing the summer favorite retreat. There is even a cash reward possible for leads on the case.

The Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks Region 4 are using social media to get the word out on the vandalism that occurred on June 3, 2026. Staff visiting the site at the park arrived to find several areas spray painted.

In their report, MFWP said staff encountered "extensive amounts of graffiti had been spray painted on the rock walls and structures within the canyon."

Investigation Continues; Be a Tipster Using the MFWP Reporting Website
MFWP is continuing the investigation into the vandalism and are asking for the public's help in identifying the perpetrator(s) behind it. If you may have information on this incident, game wardens ask you to report it using their website for tips here.
