Flags will be at half-staff beginning July 2nd, 2025, in Montana to honor the memory, life and legacy left behind by Montana's longest serving congressman.

Govenor Gianforte Makes Proclamation for Half-Staff Flags this Week in Montana
Montana Governor Greg Gianforte announced on Monday June 3rd that all flags across the state would be flown at half-staff to honor former Congressman Pat Williams who served nearly 20 years in Washington, DC. Williams passed away on June 25, 2025.

Flags will be at half-staff on Wednesday July 2, 2025, and until Thursday July 3rd, 2025, at sunset. Williams will lie in state at the Montana State Capitol in Helena on July 2nd until 12pm on Wednesday July 3rd.
