The River's Edge Trail in Great Falls, MT is definitely a jewel, maybe the jewel in the city.

The trail network features over 50 miles of system to enjoy, all along the Missouri River and throughout Great Falls.  The official River's Edge Trail Facebook page states:

The paved and single-track trails provide spectacular views of the mountains, prairie, river canyons, waterfalls, reservoirs, and four hydro-electric dams and link Great Falls’ historic downtown with numerous parks, dining options and attractions. Come experience the natural splendor of Montana’s finest riverfront trail network.

It's More Than Just About Walking, Biking or Rollerblading

Sure, those are amazing things to do on the trail, but there are also some great ways to enjoy the trail during other events.  The trail also hosts events such as the "Kickin' Assphault Half Marathon" with RaceMT.

Checking Out the Luminaria Walk in Great Falls For 2023

A family favorite each year is the annual Luminaria Walk along the River's Edge Trail in Great Falls.  For 2023, events will take place from 7pm to 11pm at the West Bank Park and Gibson Park.  With near 1500 luminarias lighting the trail, there will also be food, music and fun activities for everyone on August 25.

The event is free to the public and sponsored by the River's Edge Trail Foundation.
