Here’s What Surprised Michelle Pfeiffer About Filming in Montana
Montana residents know that some of the most beautiful destinations in the state don't come with modern conveniences
That's something that actress Michelle Pfeiffer had to learn the hard way when she was recently in Big Sky Country filming scenes for "The Madison" on Paramount+.
During a recent interview on the LA Times podcast, Pfeiffer said that while filming in Montana was beautiful, there were a few things the cast and crew had to get used to. Two of the things she mentioned were the lack of bathrooms on the set and the fact that most places didn't have air conditioning.

For many people who live in Montana, not having AC is fairly common. We just open our windows at night to let the cool air in. However, for those living a life of luxury, it can be viewed as an inconvenience.
Pfeiffer said that Montana is "breathtakingly gorgeous", but the lack of plumbing and modern conveniences, and filming in rugged areas, were difficult to adapt to.
If you haven't watched "The Madison" yet, season one is available on Paramount+. I know some people will complain that it was filmed in Montana, but I enjoyed watching it. It was fun to see if I could recognize the locations they used while filming.
Montana isn't for everyone, and if you ask me, that's a good thing.
For Michelle Pfeiffer, filming in Montana was "far from paradise", but I'm pretty sure the rest of us know how lucky we are to live in the Treasure State and call it home.
