If there is one type of food that most of us can agree is absolutely amazing, it's cheese. Cheese goes with almost anything and everything; and don't even get us started on the different types of cheeses.

If you're a cottage cheese fan, however, you'll want to double-check your fridge as soon as possible.

The FDA says the voluntary recall is "due to the possibility of liquid dairy ingredients used in the items not being fully pasteurized according to state regulatory standards."

Luckily, the bad cheese hasn't resulted in any illnesses or hospitalizations. That said, Montanans will have to be cautious as the cheese was sold in Montana stores under the "Great Value" brand.

The FDA says the recalled cheese was sold to consumers between "February 17 and February 20, 2026."
