The FDA Issues A Cheese Recall

George Carlin once said,

Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.

This latest recall from the FDA might just prove that quote correct.

When you think of recalls, especially when it comes to food, you'd probably assume it will have something to do with contamination.

Well, this latest recall from the FDA might be the stupidest reason I've ever heard of for a recall.

I realize I might be coming off as a big "judgy," but once you see it for yourself you'll probably agree with me.

FDA Recalls Kraft Singles American Cheese

So here is the recall from the Food and Drug Administration and why this is the stupid reason ever,

The voluntary recall comes as a precaution after a temporary issue developed on one of our wrapping machines, making it possible that a thin strip of the individual film may remain on the slice after the wrapper has been removed.

WOW, so they had to recall these cheese slices because the wrapper might stick to the cheese.

I've made a lot of grilled cheese and can't even begin to count how many times the wrapper has stuck to the cheese.

The FDA said 6 people have filed complaints, so that's 6 people that prove George Carlin correct.

If you have some of these cheese slices and want a refund, here's how to do so

Consumers can contact Kraft Heinz from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, Monday through Friday, at 1-800-280-8252 to see if a product is part of the recall and to receive reimbursement.

Me? I'll just continue to mumble under my breath while I pick the wrapper off the cheese slice.
