Fire Response And Early Containment Details
I actually got a text from a friend almost right away saying it was on fire, but since there was nothing online yet, I did not believe him at first.
Unfortunately, just a few minutes later, the Great Falls Fire Rescue Facebook page confirmed it.
The good news is the fire was caught early, the building was not destroyed, and it sounds like the Stein Haus should be able to operate again soon. The Stein Haus closed for the rest of the day Wednesday but announced plans to reopen today, January 22.
Other Howard’s Pizza Locations Are Still Open
As for Howard’s Pizza, there is still no official word on when they will reopen. The cause of the fire is also still under investigation, as of publication, they say the cause appears to be accidental. As we know more we will pass along an update to you.
While this is obviously not good news for the owners, the biggest silver lining is that no one was hurt.
And while it is a bummer for anyone who loves grabbing a slice downtown, this is not a total Howard’s Pizza blackout for Great Falls. Other Howard’s locations around town are still open and ready to help fill that pizza-shaped hole in our hearts until the Stein Haus spot is hopefully back up and running.
