Heat Lamp Cause of Latest Fire in Great Falls
At some point in your working life, you have probably either said or been told that being busy is much better than being bored. And honestly, I believe that being busy at your job does indeed make the day go by easier.

However, the more I think about it, it really depends on your job. For instance, our Great Falls Fire Rescue taking care of us. Being bored is probably better than being on a fire call. But unfortunately, our GFFR has been extremely busy with house fires the past few months.

Great Falls Fire Rescue on the Scene in Great Falls
In the past 3 months, GFFR has responded to several fire calls at not only homes in the Electric City, but also businesses that have suddenly caught flame.

On Tuesday, March 4th, the GFFR were back on the scene again this time at 517 6th Ave South for a house with a fire in the attic.
Heat Source Probable Cause of Fire in Great Falls Again
According to a press release by the GFFR, a battalion chief first arrived to find smoke venting from the gable ends of the house and fire starting to vent from the roof. As firefighters arrived, they "made entry into the house where they did find active fire in the attic. A Platoon crews worked quickly to extinguish the fire and ensure that it did not spread to any other portions of the house.

The owner and his pets were able to escape the fire unharmed, but the home is currently unlivable. GFFR stated that the cause of the fire was determined to be the failure of a bathroom ceiling heat lamp and fan.
