Generous Donation to Help Great Falls Fire Rescue

Opinions are varied on the subject of how to describe Great Falls if you were asked.  For me, in a single word, it would be generous.

Kid programs, school fundraisers, local non-profits, Great Falls will step up to the plate and make it happen.  Recently, the Great Falls Fire Rescue was on the receiving end of that generosity across the city.

Training Just Got a lot More Realistic for Great Falls Fire and Rescue

While we all hope that it never happens, the possibility is always there regarding a hazardous situation occurring in our city or area.  The Great Falls Fire Rescue is 1 of the 6 Regional Hazardous Materials teams in the state of Montana.

As such, when needed, these local resources can be mobilized to assist any State, Tribal, or local agency or jurisdiction needing hazmat technical assistance.  Having the ability to train for these circumstances is imperative.

Local Great Falls Businesses Make It Happen for GFFR

In a new announcement through social media, the GFFR said:

 huge thank you to Jimmy Filipowicz with Steel Etc, BNSF, M&D Construction, Maxim Crane, and Sletten Construction for their generosity in their donation of a Hazardous Material rail car prop to GFFR. With this prop, it will allow our firefighters to train for high- and low-pressure ruptures and leaks, confinement exercises, and provide invaluable hands-on training of complex scenario-based rail incidents.
