Cars have been a part of my life since I was just a wee lad driving an old Jeep with hay bales on the back and both of my parental figures feeding cattle, hoping I remembered the fence post my dad said to aim for.  (I may or may not be the reason my father walks with a limp, just sayin'.)

My dad led me down the road of that love, along with several important cars having influence over me.  Milner's iconic yellow Ford Coupe in American Graffiti, the cherry red Corvette of Mark Hamil, and yes, the orange Dodge Charger of "them darn Duke boys".

Remembering Childhood Shows and a Famous Montana Showman

Watching the "Dukes of Hazard" television show was a highlight for my dad and I to enjoy each episode.  It probably helped that besides the curves of the famous General Lee car, Daisy Duke ushered in jean shorts and white tank tops behind the wheel of a Jeep.

But it was Bo or Luke that we all wanted to be, and Montana residents might just have the chance to meet one of the actors that brought the show to life.  John Schneider, who portrayed Bo in the show, is hinting about possibly being in Montana, perhaps for a big event centered around another famous driver and stuntman; Evel Knievel.

No Confirmation, But the "Stars" are Lining Up for This to Be a Thing in Montana

Let me first state that this is simply me putting some random posts together, but hear me out on this before you pass judgement or call bull on one of the Duke boys coming to Montana.

For the past several months Schneider has been documenting his "Happy Birthday America Tour" across the United States on social media and had only Montana and Louisiana left to visit.  His most recent stop is in North Dakota this week.  But he also made a cryptic post earlier this month:

Could that mean he is going to time his visit to the state with the annual Evel Knievel Festival in Butte, Montana this summer on July 24 and 25, 2026?

There Might Be Something Else He Was Alluding to Instead of Montana

There is one other possibility that I came across that might be what he was referring to with his post.  The new "Evel Knievel Experience: An Interactive Museum of America’s Original Daredevil" is set to open next weekend on June 27th, 2026, in Las Vegas.  Schneider may have a hand in helping with the ceremony.  Maybe?

I'm just throwing spitballs here folks.  Again, nothing confirmed, but it would be pretty cool to hang with a Duke boy for the afternoon and sip a cold one.  I even have my first question lined up for him; "who the hell thought "Cooter" was a good name for a character on a popular television show?"  (He did drive a pretty sweet Mustang though) Now, how them Duke boys going to get out of that one?

PICTURES: Here's What the Cast of 'The Dukes of Hazzard' Look Like Today!

The Dukes of Hazzard was more than just a popular TV show. It was a television phenomenon that launched several of its cast members into sex symbol status.

Decades after the show debuted in 1979, the cast members look very different today, but they've held up remarkably well.
