Adult Driver's Education Courses Now Available in Great Falls

During the summer months in Montana, taking the shoelace express isn't a bad deal.  Or even riding a bike.  But as the weather starts to turn a little cooler and snow begins to fly, having a vehicle from point A to point B becomes a little more appealing.

If the freedom of the open road and working on a project car for the weekend intrigues you but you are one that never had driver's education, there is a new program that has its high beams aimed at you.

Program Aimed at Adults 18+ Needing Their Montana Driver's License

The new program, presented in part by Job Service Great Falls and Great Falls Career and College Readiness Center is set to begin in November for the Fall 2024 session.  The class is for those 18+ without a driver's license and not enrolled in high school.

The program will feature an orientation on November 4, 2024, with 5 two-hour long class sessions to prepare for the written Montana driver's test.  Driving instruction training will be 6 one-hour sessions.

Adults Can Sign Up for Classes Now in Great Falls to Learn to Drive

To participate in the program, you will need the following credentials and information:

  • Completed application form
  • Fees paid
  • State issued birth certificate
  • Motor vehicle record
  • Photo identification
  • Background check
  • Social Security number

Fees for the class are $400 for both the written and driving classes.  Permit only classes are $125 and additional driving classes are available for $75.  To find out more, call (406)-771-5108 or email gfccrc@gfps.k12.mt.us.
