The Voice of Women in the Montana Cattle Industry

While many know or have heard of the Montana Cattleman's group, the Montana CattleWomen Incorporated also help "support the livestock industry and its environment through communications, education and legislative activities."

The group also awards annual scholarships to aspiring graduating senior high school girls, and the annual CattleWoman of the Year award.  They also host a daring event on its way in September, the Ranch Run and Tough Udder.

The Ranch Run/Tough Udder Isn't Just Any Road Race in Montana

The 2024 Ranch Run and Tough Udder is scheduled for September 14th, at the Granger Ranch in Ennis, MT.  The race, being touted as "none-udder like it" features 10k and 5k races, plus a 1k calf run.

Racers will also be facing several ranching obstacles across the course to see who the Tough Udder of Montana is.  Events will include climbing hay bales, jumping ditches, running under water pivots and even carrying feedbags and salt blocks.

Getting Entered for the Event in Ennis, MT for 2024

According to their website, the group says the event "is a fundraiser hosted by the Montana Cattlewomen. Funds raised go towards promoting the beef industry and purchasing materials needed to educate the adults and youth of Montana regarding beef nutrition, byproducts, bovine handling practices, and land management."
