Heading northwest from Great Falls, Montana you encounter the city of Lincoln which is your gateway to the artist paradise.  The Sculpture in the Woods will bring you into amazing artwork from artists in Montana and across the world.  Artists have come from the UK, Finland, Ireland and more to make their mark in the Montana forest.  Towering pieces will delight you as you make your way through the paths leading to each of the displays.

What Is the Meaning Behind All of This Artwork?

According to the official website of the installation, the meaning behind many of the sculptures and artwork are to:

ARTISTS INCORPORATE MATERIALS - NATURAL AND INDUSTRIAL - THAT ARE ASSOCIATED WITH THE COMMUNITY'S ECONOMIC AND CULTURAL TRADITIONS TO CREATE SITE-SPECIFIC SCULPTURES ON A 26 ACRE WOODLANDS SITE.

The displays are open year around from dawn to dusk and there is no charge to view the installations at the area.  Pets are also welcome, but they do ask that you please leash your dog while touring the area.

Be sure to make plans to attend the annual artist in residence shows that will be taking place during the 10th anniversary of the Sculpture in the Woods.
