Yes, The Presidential Prison Coin Is a Real Thing Everyone

There has been much made about a particular animated television show and its ability to predict the future.  Things like weather, current events, even Presidential happenings have all been presented before they happened.

It isn't the only one that appears to be able to predict the future.  Because after seeing a commercial on TV last night, I am sure we are living in the world that was predicted in the movie "Idiocracy".

A Peaceful Night Interrupted by Raucous Laughter After Dinner

After our evening meal recently, and as we were picking up, a commercial came across our televsion.  Not being in the room and only hearing it partially, I had to ask my wife if I really heard what I heard.

"Honey, was that a commercial for a Presidential prison coin?!?!"

And of course, yes indeed, it really was an advertisement for a real coin.  But not any ordinary coin mind you.  A specially minted, limited-edition type of coin was up for grabs.  And all for only $59.99, what a bargain!

It Is Tough to Respect the Office When It Is Being Made a Mockery

The new coin is available via the website President Prison.  They even tout on the site that their commercial was rejected by major networks like CNN, ESPN and the Hallmark Channel.  You can watch that commercial below.

For myself, it is blasphemy.  To make a mockery like this of the office that we were taught to respect, it just doesn't seem right.  Regardless of which side of the political fence you fall.

Do we really want to live like Idiocracy?
