The Best Foods for the Montana Flu and Cold Season

Food isn't the only thing that can help with your immune system during the flu season.  We all become a little more worn down during the busy time of the holidays, and it can lead to becoming sick.

The Center for Disease Control (CDC) recommends staying physically active during sick season.  They suggest around 150 minutes of moderate to high-intensity activity per week.  Try to get your best night's sleep is also important.  Less than 8 hours will compromise your immune system also.

The CDC also says that staying away from ultra processed foods will help your body stay healthy.  Try to cut out junk foods that have tons of preservatives, dyes or artificial ingredients.  Many of those foods can elevate inflammation in the body, and cause problems with your natural immune system.
