Montana Will Be Included in New Airbag Recall
Over the last several years, millions of vehicles have been recalled in order to replace faulty safety airbags. Those bags, built by Takata, were in pretty much every make of vehicle on our roadways.
And now, it appears that some of those airbags that were replaced are now facing another major recall due to faulty equipment by a two separate companies, ARC Automotive Inc. and Delphi Automotive Systems LLC.
Major Manufacturer Brands will be Affected Across Montana
In a report from Jalopnick and a new video from the US Department of Transportation, there may be as many as 51 million new recalls that will need to be dealt with. Major brands such as General Motors, Volkswagen and Hyundai have reported problems with replacement inflators as far back as 2009.
The NHSTSA first raised concerns with ARC Automotive Inc. in March of 2023, but the company refused to issue a recall at that time, despite 2 deaths related to the replacement inflators for the airbags.
