Montana To Lagoon: Big Thrills In 5 Hours Or Less
My Mom Is From Utah
Growing up in Montana, we'd go to Utah nearly every year to visit my grandparents and uncles in and around Clearfield. Anyone who knows anything about the towns in Utah knows Clearfield is less than 20 minutesish (depending on traffic) from Farmington, Utah, the home of Lagoon.
Lagoon Is Less Than 5 Hours Away From The Southern Montana Border
Seriously, I've made this drive a hundred times if I've made it once. Once you hit the Idaho border, it's gravy to Utah. The roads are good and there are plenty of places to stop and rest or get a snack along the way. Even if you stop 5 times, you could be in Farmington in less than 6 hours.
Make A Weekend Of It
Pack up the kids and make your way to Utah. Lagoon is good for 2 or 3 days, easy. Then, if you have more time, you're just a hop, skip, and a jump away from Salt Lake City. Salt Lake is a pretty cool place if you don't have to live there. There is great shopping and some really fun things to do. You can check out:
- Hogle Zoo
- Clark Planetarium
- Temple Square
- The Great Salt Lake
- The Natural History Museum of Utah
- Take in a Jazz game or concert at the Delta Center
There is a whole lot more in Salt Lake that's geared for the family. That's the thing about Utah, families rule.
