President Trump Announces Obamacare Rebate Checks Coming to Montana

President Trump announced a check could be coming to people across the country and in Montana in the coming weeks.

And no, this isn't another COVID relief or stimulus check. Rather, it's a rebate for Americans "most exposed to the higher costs imposed by the Biden Administration’s gross mismanagement of Obamacare."

Obamacare Rebate Checks Coming to 30 States

According to the White House, nearly 1 million Americans are set to receive $500 refund checks across 30 states, including Montana.

The White House says the reason is because of the "surplus of funds" that the Biden administration accumulated through "user fees" that were, according to the White House, "passed on to consumers in the form of higher premiums, funding the operations of the federal Obamacare exchange far in excess of what was needed to run the exchange."

President Trump announced on Thursday (9/10) that these checks would be arriving by mail starting October 2026.

Obamacare Refund Eligibility

You might be wondering if you should keep an eye on your mailbox or if you're eligible for the money - totally understandable! $500 would be useful to anyone right now.

The White House says "Americans who do not receive premium assistance under the Unaffordable Care Act – and therefore paid the full cost of Biden’s premium tax" will be eligible to receive the check.
