MAGIE 2026 is officially here and for many, it's an annual event that's been around Great Falls for generations.

For myself, well, it's my first one... like ever.

When Is MAGIE 2026 In Great Falls?

In case you're unaware, MAGIE 2026 is in full swing at Montana Expo Park from Wednesday (1/21) to this Friday (1/23). The doors open at 9AM on all three days, close at 5PM on Wed/Thurs, and close on Friday at 4PM.

This is my first MAGIE ever as I've only lived in Montana since last August. I previously spent 4 1/2 years in Idaho and before that, the rest of my life and career in Texas. So, as you'd expect, the Montana ag scene is a little bit different than what I've seen before...

...and I love it.

What To Do At MAGIE 2026

If you're like me and aren't as unfamiliar with Montana agriculture as longtime locals are, there is plenty to do and learn at MAGIE. Shoot, the people have been so nice that when I was walking around taking pictures, I had some folks offer to explain to me what different equipment does.

Now, I can remember most of their explanations but I have to admit - it got my head spinning with how much information I was getting!

Still, I was blown away by the advancement of technology and how things like AI and drones are assisting farmers in everyday tasks. It truly is mind-blowing.

At the time of writing this, there are still a two more days of MAGIE and I can't wait to see what else I learn.

Check out some of the best photos from the first day of MAGIE 2026 below!
