Study Shows Montana Fast Food Costs Above National Average
These days, about the only thing that's still cheap about fast food is the amount of time it takes to get it. If you're feeding a family, you might want to check your bank account before pulling into the drive-thru.
World Population Review recently looked at fast food prices across all 50 states, and the results show Montana is paying some of the highest prices in America.
Most people probably think burgers would top the list, but it was actually pizza that stood out the most.
World Population Review compared the prices of:
- Domino's Medium Cheese Pizza
- McDonald's Happy Meal
- McDonald's Big Mac
- Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwhich
- Taco Bell Combo Meal

Why Fast Food No Longer Feels Like A Budget Meal
According to their findings, a medium cheese pizza from Domino's in Montana averages $14.99. That puts us right up there with states like Colorado, Massachusetts, and California.
And it's not just pizza. They found the average Big Mac in Montana costs $4.27, while a Taco Bell combo meal averages $6.20.
None of those prices are going to bankrupt anyone on their own, but if you're feeding a family, they add up in a hurry.
Which might explain why more people these days see fast food as an occasional treat instead of the budget-friendly meal it used to be.
