Huckleberry Ice Cream Remains A Montana Iconic Flavor

Now, I won't claim to be an ice cream expert, but I can tell you there aren't many flavors I've met that I didn't like.

That said, huckleberry ice cream has to be one of the most iconic flavors you'll find under the Big Sky. It's a local favorite and about as Montana as it gets.

Interestingly enough, one major publication skipped right over huckleberry when naming the state's best flavor, while another picked the same shop as the best ice cream destination in Montana.

Sweet Peaks Ice Cream Earns Top Recognition In Montana Rankings

Both Food & Wine and Cheapism put together lists highlighting the best ice cream around the country. When it came to Montana, they both landed on Sweet Peaks Ice Cream, which has locations in Whitefish, Kalispell, Missoula, and Bozeman.

Where they differed was on flavor. Food & Wine says the best ice cream flavor in Montana is Sweet Peaks' River Float.
