When discussing the population increase in Montana, the one city that often receives the majority of the criticism is Bozeman.

While Bozeman has undergone significant changes in recent decades, it does not rank among the top 10 fastest-growing cities in Montana.

Montana Became a Hotspot for Relocation

Montana became one of the most sought-after states for relocation during the pandemic, largely due to its lower cost of living and the ease of working remotely.

We recently went over 1 million residents during this time as well, but not everyone who has moved here has been welcomed with open arms.

Plenty of residents aren't exactly excited about all these new residents, but mostly those that try to make Montana what they just left.

Newcomers and Montana’s Changing Communities

One of the biggest frustrations for residents born in Montana is when newcomers move to our state and then start complaining about it.

If people came here and integrated themselves into our way of life and our communities, I don't think we'd see people be so up in arms about the population explosion.

Still, it's a free country, and we can't stop them from moving to our state, but where are they moving to if they aren't settling down in Bozeman?
