Montana Coffee Recall: Tainted Pods Could Make You Sick
Another Recall Hits Montana
Another day, another recall on the food we eat, putting our health at risk.
Every day it seems that food manufacturers in our country are having to issue recalls on their products; this time it's coffee and INK?

Why Your K-Cups Might Contain Ink
Yes, ink is leaching into your coffee from some of those single-serve K-Cup-style coffee pods sold in Montana and across America.
The new recall is due to the fact that the seal they put on these cups wasn't correctly or consistently applied to the lid.
So that means that since these K-cup machines use such high-pressure, high-temperature water, the clear coat seal that usually protects the printed ink on the lid underneath failed, adding said ink (which is food safe) to your cup of coffee.
Here’s What Coffee Is Impacted by the Recall
Here is what EatingWell had on their website:
The coffee impacted is 10-count boxes of New Mexico Pinon Coffee Dark Pinon single serve cups. The package has a printed UPC of "812361033081," lot code "251749" and best-by date "05/08/2026." Check your coffee pods, and if they match this recall information, dispose of them or return them to your place of purchase for a refund.
Thankfully this latest recall is classified as a Class III recall, which basically means, "Hey, you COULD get sick from this, but you probably won't have any health consequences."
