Our fair city has had the privilege of having some of the best Mexican food restaurants in the state in my opinion.  Great places like El Comedor, Taco Treat and Maria's Mexican Restaurant.  But now the Electric City is losing one of its favorites.

This Favorite Mexican Flavor Restaurant Closing in Great Falls

Maria's Mexican Restaurant, located in Great Falls, Montana at 1220 9th Street South has announced that Valentine's Weekend will be the final call for your favorites at the restaurant.

Through their social media page, the local favorite south of the border restaurant's owner is retiring, and the final day of business will be on February 14th, 2026.  The restaurant has been a main staple within the community for nearly three decades.

Restaurant Thanks Customers, May Close Even Earlier than Expected

In making the announcement, the restaurant thanked their customers over the years, saying that "It has been our pleasure serving the best Mexican food in Great Falls. We will miss our customers and the community. Thank you all for your years of support over Maria's 29 years in business. Please come see us one last time".

The owners also stated that the restaurant may close earlier than the February 14th date, depending on inventory.  We wish all the best for them on their new journey!
