Blackfeet Nation to Host Fire in the Mountains Gathering
Blackfeet Nation, Montana is set to host what very well could be the largest heavy metal gathering of bands the state will see this year. Or any year. 20 artists and bands have signed on for the Fire in the Mountains gathering.

In a partnership with the community in the Blackfeet Nation, Fire in the Mountains is hosted at the Red Eagle Campground, located near Glacier National Park in Northwestern Montana.

The Fire in the Mountains is an alcohol-free event and is hoping to bring more awareness to suicide within Indian Country in Montana. According to the website:
is organized in partnership with the Southern Piikunii (Blackfeet Nation) and is located at Red Eagle Campground, within the Blackfeet Reservation. This partnership will feature direct programming featuring Blackfeet culture, along with the creation of the Firekeeper Alliance - a non-profit organization working towards combating the youth suicide and mental health crisis on the Blackfeet Reservation.
