Could One of These 5 Restaurants Be Closing in Great Falls?

As 2023 starts to wind down, many businesses will be assessing how the year has treated them.  Unfortunately, it also will mean that some of those businesses will be closing their doors.

But before you start to panic about any of these, no, I don't have any secret knowledge of any of these even considering to be closed in Great Falls.  But national chains have a history of not letting us know these things.

National Chains Are Feeling the Crunch of the Economy

Over the last few years, prices have skyrocketed upward, especially in the food industry.  Food costs, transportation, wages and more have all added to the burden of running a restaurant.  Passing those costs on to consumers, restaurants have seen a decrease in both inhouse dining, or ordering online.

The Top 5 We Could See Leaving Us in Great Falls

Hopefully none of these are leaving us here in the Electric City.  But the parent companies have announced that they will be closing locations across the country.  We shouldn't think we are immune by any means to those cuts.

In fact, we have already seen some of these happen in Great Falls.  Here are the 5 that might be in jeopardy for us.

#5 - Pizza Hut.  In Great Falls, we have had 2 of these locations close in the last couple of years.

#4 - Hardees.  Our downtown location is no longer, but we still can have those burgers at the 10th Avenue South location.

#3 - Burger King.  After a slight lapse on the Westside of Great Falls, Burger King has reopened a second location to keep us happy.

#2 - Applebee's.  Of the 5, I don't think our location of this restaurant is in any jeopardy of closing.  It seems to be a happy location near the river.

#1 - Dairy Queen.  They better not be talking about taking away my monthly blizzard selection!  Again, Great Falls has great support for this franchise, and I don't see it going away or losing a location in our area any time soon.
